2. Shipping Channels & Realistic Lead Times
For items available directly from our UK inventory (small batches & restocking):
- Order processing: 1-2 business days.
- Standard UK delivery: 3-5 business days.
For direct B2B pallet supply, custom orders, or full truckloads shipped directly from manufacturing hubs in Italy:
- Order confirmation, loading & IPAFFS health declarations: 3-5 days.
- International transit & UK CDS customs clearance: 7-10 days.
- Total estimated delivery time: 15-20 business days.
3. Freight Costs & Quotations
As a B2B commercial supplier, freight charges are calculated transparently based on total pallet count, weight, volume, and destination postcode in the UK. Freight options and delivery terms (e.g., DDP) are provided in custom quotations prior to order confirmation.
4. Force Majeure & Delay Disclaimer
Estimated timelines apply under standard transit and clearance conditions. Giotto Legno UK Ltd shall not be held liable for delivery delays resulting from force majeure or events beyond its direct control, including but not limited to: mandatory physical customs/health inspections (HMRC, DEFRA, Port Health), transport strikes, port or border blockades, road accidents, technical breakdowns of third-party carriers, or severe weather conditions. In such events, we remain committed to keeping consignees informed of updated estimated arrival times.
5. Goods Inspection & Claims
Upon delivery, consignees must inspect pallet integrity and note any discrepancies or physical damages on the delivery note (CMR) before signing, notifying us within 48 hours of receipt.
